Scratched sliding patio door glass at a private home
Two large glass panels in sliding patio doors at a private residential property in St Andrews, Scotland, had extensive medium and deep scratches caused by repeated improper cleaning. Each panel measures 2000 × 1000 mm, around 4 m² of glass in total.
Scratching of this extent cannot be removed in a single pass. The glass was treated on site through progressive surface refinement followed by polishing, and the existing panels were restored rather than replaced.

The photographs document the work in progress. The close-up was taken during surface preparation, so some scratches are still visible, and the matte finish in the third image is a temporary stage of surface refinement. The final polished glass is not shown in this gallery.
The reported outcome was approximately 97% visual restoration, with the existing glazing retained.

Our Approach
